This is a page dedicated to those who have benefited from the Correct Weight Loss Program. Testimonies would be added to this page as we collect them.
Tricia Pierce Andrews (USA)
My name is Tricia Andrews, age 55 and I live in the United States. My weight before the Correct Weight Loss Program was 182 lbs. This was the highest I have ever weighed in my life including my pregnancies. Due to health issues and injuries my weight spiraled out of control. My biggest challenges in this weight loss journey is health. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Hypothryroidism. Weight gain is normal with any one of these diseases much more so with all three. The medications to control these are also weight gaining. So you get bombarded from all sides. I have tried the South Beach diet, numerous exercise DVD’s such as Jilliam Michaels, Bob Harper, Tony Horton, yoga, walking, Pilates. None of these worked for me because they were to strenuous for me. Because of the weight gain I have dealt with depression and very low self-esteem. Since being on the CWL program I am able to tailor the workouts more for myself. I have the option of different tiers of exercise and can also utilize my own workout routines. The support system with CWL is outstanding. I have made so many wonderful friends and support groups that I can go to the site at any time and find another member there to help me out. The administrators have always been very available and helpful.
Also available to members is an extensive library of helpful articles and links to help you on your weight loss journey. I believe that the CWL program is a life style that I will utilize for my life. If I get discouraged or depressed I can go to the site and read about tips and advice that will help me get back the hump. I know I can achieve my fitness goals with this program. By entering the compliance data you are helping yourself see your progress and also which areas of training that you are lacking. Keeping track of your food, exercise and measurements keeps your focused on your goal of weight loss and a healthy life. I have much more energy and less pain since being on the CWL program and losing weight. I still have a ways to go to get to my target weight of 140 but with this program I no longer have any doubt that I will achieve it and maintain it. I would tell anyone that if you are serious about finally losing the weight and maintaining it that the Correct Weight Loss program will help you achieve it. I have not just gained a weight loss program that works I have gained a lifestyle choice and wonderful friends.
Cathy Nelson Schrauben (USA)
Hi! My name is Cathy Schrauben and I live in the great state of Michigan, USA. I am 53, married, with two married children and six wonderful grandchildren. I want to talk to you about the CWL (Correct Weight Loss) program. But before I do, let me give you a little history on my life and my weight/health.
I was one of those kids that never gained a pound. I was rail thin my whole childhood. I ate pretty much what I wanted. Now, you have to realize – I also grew up in a house where there was no junk food. The closest thing to junk was a few saltine crackers for soup. My mom made sure there was always fruit and veggies in the house to snack on and pop and chips simply did not exist in our home. All five of us kids ran around outside playing all day when we weren’t in school. It’s just the way it was back in the 60’s. There was little TV watching and no video games around yet. Meals were home cooked and delicious. There were no microwaves – or if there were, they were not affordable to the common people.
Somewhere around the age of 27 I gained a few pounds. I went from 113 to 127. I wasn’t considered over weight by any means, but was a little fluffy for me. By the time I was in my late 30’s – that 127 had blown to 137. I was still very active, ran three miles three times a week and hit the gym twice a week to weight lift. My metabolism was just naturally slowing down.
By the time I was 45 I was showing early signs of being in menopause and by 46 the doctor decided I needed a total hysterectomy. That was the beginning of a slow decline for me, health and weight wise. I put on 10 lbs that first year. I tried dieting by counting calories. I stuck with 1200 cals and couldn’t drop more than a few pounds. I tried weight watchers. I hated counting points and I was always hungry. I tried medical weight loss – and lost 15 lbs. I gained it back after I quit eating their “special food”. I bought exercise video’s and a treadmill. I only saw progress when I worked out for an hour or more a day, five days a week. There was not enough time in the day to do this forever. After all – I am a grandma and I want time to spend with my grandkids too. Working full time and keeping up a house is hard – and time is precious. I have to have time with loved ones or I feel really deprived. So an hour a day is really out of the realm of possibilities for me for any length of time.
The next few years were miserable. I’d gain, then lose. I’d put on 10 take off 5. By 52 I had reached 170 – the highest I’d ever been in my life. I was miserable!! I decided I would try anything/everything to get this off once and for all. And then I found CWL.
You may be wondering how CWL is different from everything else. And why it worked for me when nothing else did. I’m not a science geek, but I can tell you – it’s not just what you eat – but when that makes a difference. It’s not just that you work out – but what you do during that workout, that makes a difference. CWL will blow your mind. And I’m serious.
It is HARD to rewire your thinking. I’m not going to tell you it’s easy. You will learn to eat the right combinations of food at the right time. And for those of us that either skip breakfast – or it’s the smallest meal of the day – well guess what? That’s going to change. Breakfast will become your biggest meal of the day. And you won’t be hungry. You will eat good food that helps you burn fat. You won’t miss the processed junk you’ve become addicted to. And your blood work will show improvements in so many areas – you’ll be astounded!
The program also has specific strength training exercises. These strength training movements only take 30 min, three times a week. And they look real easy on paper. But just wait till you try them! Lol! And the next day – be prepared to be SORE. They work. They will give you the toned muscles you want and that will help you keep burning fat.
There are other things that make CWL a better weight loss program. There is tons of educational pieces for your reference. Reading new ones daily is strongly encouraged, and is important. Because if you don’t know why it’s working you won’t stick with the program and you’ll gain back what you lost. Education is important to ingrain this whole program deep into your subconscious so it becomes part of your continuing lifestyle.
The support you’ll get as part of the CWL community on facebook will become very important as you go through this program too. Everyone needs help, encouragement and inspiration at different times. This group allows you to help others as well as receive help from them when you need it most. We are all struggling – and this gives us a tool to help us through those hard times!
All I really know is that CWL made a difference for me. I have not yet reached my goal – but I am close. I am 5’7” and I have gone from 172 to 144. My goal is 135. I am stronger, more toned. I’ve lost 3 pant sizes and more inches than I can count. I have more energy, my skin is clearer and my eyes and hair shine. My pre-diabetic sugar levels are now in normal range. My high cholesterol levels are now normal. I cannot stress how much this all means for my health as well as my spirit – now that I’ve finally found a lifestyle I can live with.
IF you have tried everything and nothing has worked. IF you don’t want to stay miserable and overweight. IF you have nothing to lose – TRY CWL. It’s free. It works. And you’ll be totally amazed if you follow the program. If you don’t – you’ll stay as you are. No harm done – just no gain. So why not try CWL? This could be the first day of the rest of your life. Seriously!
Sharmini Gopinathan (Malaysia)
My name is Sharmini and I am from Malaysia. I am 39 years old and was an athlete during my school days. I used to be a very fit person. After marriage and 3 kids, I started slowly gaining weight. I tried to get my weight down but it only kept yoyo-ing. I had a nucleoplasty done for my persistent back injury. The multiple steroid injections I received led to extensive weight gain.
Before getting on the CWL Program, I tried diet pills, the Cabbage Soup Diet, Fasting and Detoxing on a fruits-only diet. I lost a few pounds and gained it all back. I binged when I got off any one of these diets. I felt terrible. I was demotivated and very often felt tired.
Last January, I went into depression due to my lack of success in getting the weight off. After speaking to Paramjit from the CWL Team, I confessed my dismay and feelings of depression. He prompted me to check my insulin and thyroid levels. He then invited me to join the CWL program.
The program taught me to assess my battle with food honestly. My “If they don’t see me eat it, it doesn’t count” attitude had to go! Using the CWL Compliance Grid, I got a closer look at my food choices and it opened my eyes! The CWL program lifted the mirror to my lifestyle. The CWL Program is different from other diets that I have tried because it gradually helped me change my eating habits. The whole program is made up of choices. I did what I could and built up from there. There was no pressure to conform at one-go. I did one small thing at a time until I made a complete healthy lifestyle change.
I stopped hiding my struggle. Those who loved me had known all along anyway. Anyway my weight was 82kgs and that wasn’t a good disguise. I was only fooling myself. I realized I had fallen into a habit of secretly losing a little weight with the hope that others would notice. When they didn’t, I became discouraged and eventually quit. I decided to try a different approach and bring God, my family and friends in the CWL support group as well as my fellow friends in Facebook into the program with me. This way, I was encouraged and held accountable. The CWL Social Support System is excellent. The team is the best when it comes to talking to us and helping us to stick to the program. We helped each other carry on and not to quit.
The CWL Program education system is an integral part of the program. It is very informative and I have been enlightened with lots of new knowledge. Once I understood the science, I became more disciplined in my routines. For once, I knew why I was doing what I was doing.
I saw myself changing in some way everyday. The scales did not matter at that time. People started noticing the changes in me and I regained my self confidence. I have lost 15kgs (33pounds) since Feb 2012 and currently I stand at 67kgs. I have yet to achieve my goal but I have learned that sustainable weight loss comes from a lifestyle and not a diet. I hope to attain my goal weight of 60kgs but am in no hurry to achieve it. I now believe gradual changes are easier to achieve and to stick to.
The founders of the CWL program want this to be the foundation of long-term sustainable weight loss. This is exactly what I am experiencing. It helps me change my lifestyle and allows me to live a healthy life. As a result of being on this program, my insulin levels decreased. My cholesterol and thyroid levels are also very much under control.
I thank Paramjit for enlightening me. The CWL support group has done a wonderful job motivating me when there were times I almost wanted to give up. CWL is the best thing that happened to me. Join us and you will never regret it.
My advise to those looking for a weight loss solution is to start the program and stick by it. You will never regret it. If I was asked to describe my CWL experience in a single sentence, I would say that it’s truly a bliss doing this which makes me a better person.
Blair Quarles (USA)
I was always slim growing up but my Junior year of High school (16-17 yrs old) my parents started a divorce, my father had his final of 5 brain surgeries and then about a year later he had 5 way heart bypass. I was depressed. So I started taking anti depressants. They made me not want to hurt myself but in return I gained 150lbs in a couple years.
By the time I was 18 I weighed in at over 315 lbs (not exactly sure what the start was but after a week of dieting I saw that I was 315 lbs) For years I struggled to figure out what works best. I tried low no-carb, I tried no-fat, I tried pills and multiple shakes. And yes every time I lost weight but as soon as the diet ended the weight came back.
While I was pregnant with my first daughter I talked to a nutritionist because I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. They amazed me by taking my diet back to the basics. This is how many carbs you need, how much protein. Then they showed me simple ways to figure out serving sizes. I learned to love to cook and bake because then I could make everything a little healthier. The weight started to melt off. Over 6 years of trying, failing and succeeding I lost roughly 100 lbs and plateaued. I still need to lose about 40 or 50 according to my doctor.
This is where CWL comes into my life. I thought I could lose all the excess weight without working out. I made myself active (walking and doing housework but not really a workout plan) CWL showed me that to get rid of the extra weight I needed to do the right exercises. I didn’t need to do crazy workout plans that pushed me way over my limit. The CWL pushed me to whatever limit I felt comfortable with and each week I did (and continue to do) a little better. The plateau is gone and I am slowly and steadily losing weight (another 25 more lbs gone so far)
So why the CWL? I lost so much weight without this group so why would I tell you that this is the group to join? Because if I had this information given to me 8 years ago I wouldn’t have gone through the pain and the struggles of trying to figure it all out and failing so many times. I almost gave up every day. But now I don’t just have the right diet and exercise plan I have a support group 24/7 -365 days a year.
No one here is selling you anything. You have a team of people who have dedicated themselves to making the world a healthier place one person at a time. They are devoted to making sure that they get you the correct information so that you can pass on the correct information to the next person. We are all paying it forward and trying to help each other. You never feel the pressure to buy anything (because no one selling anything) and if you ever fail, you have the support of everyone to help you pick yourself up and get going again. By working with this group you have nothing to lose but excess fat. In place of excess fat you will gain higher self esteem, more energy and overall better quality of life.
Hope to see you in the group and to see how the CWL changes your life forever :)
Jaspreet Kaur (India)
I am Jaspreet, from New Delhi. I’ve had weight issues since my teens. I was overweight and I’ve always had a tendency to put on weight. As a result I’ve always tried to lose weight by any and every means. I used to go on starving diets as a teen. I’ve also wasted money on weight loss programs by a popular dietician here in India. Off course I’ve lost weight on these but gained it back just the same. I used to do exercises but only sporadically and never regularly because I lacked the motivation. All this gave me a lot of health problems and a low self esteem. So as I was once again on the path to lose weight I felt that I needed some serious support and motivation this time. Then I found the Correct Weight Loss system and I am really glad that I did. At first I was not very compliant but as I started following the instructions more and more, the results started to show. Working on one thing at a time in the beginning I worked my way into it. There was no particular diet to follow but really simple general rules to apply in my daily life. I started gaining control over my nutrition and it felt great. While on the program I achieved my lowest weight personally.
The CWL program gives you enough freedom to do things at your own pace. But the more you follow it the better results you get. What also appealed to me was that all the things in the program are sensible and have sound reasoning behind them. Unbelievably, the program is actually free, the only thing you need to pay is your commitment to the program. In a world where literally nothing is free, this really is commendable and I am deeply impressed by and grateful to the selfless and passionate team behind it.
Another great thing for me has been the support from all the members. I think for me this is a major factor. I was never judged, always understood, encouraged and motivated. Plus sharing everything with the other members and having general discussions kept me engaged and excited. Also filling up the compliance sheets everyday helps to reflect on how you’ve done through the day and what needs further attention. Together both of these helped me in keeping my commitment.
The CWL program also provided me with a lot of information in the form of articles about various aspects of losing weight. The new knowledge empowered me and it became easier to make changes in my lifestyle.
The CWL program is based on developing healthy habits which will last a lifetime. All the efforts are thus directed towards helping one learn these habits for good. The program has helped me do so step by step and slowly I am developing a better behavior towards food, exercise and my general health.
Its the daily habits which determine our success towards attaining a healthier life in the end. And this program delivers just that. I would recommend this program freely to anyone, you will gain a lot and the only thing you might lose is those extra pounds!
