Most of the time, a person would have a target weight in mind. This person looks for a temporary solution in the form of a diet that allows the achievement of that target weight. Once the target weight is achieved, the person would most likely revert to his or her normal eating habits. At this point, most of the weight that was lost would usually come back on again.

In fact researchers elaborated in another paper that the level of compliance to a diet had a bigger impact on the results. In other words, the results that you get from dieting depends on your commitment to follow through on the diet. It can be any diet.

Dieting helps to change your behaviour. The behaviour modifications that come with dieting help you to lose weight. Unfortunately, most diets have extreme behaviour change that are not sustainable in the long-term. An example of this are low-calorie diets, liquid diets or even the Atkins diet.
The Atkins diet is very effective for weight loss. It modifies your behaviour by forcing you to reduce the consumption of carbohydrates. The challenge is that no one can stay on this diet for a lifetime. Eventually people come off it and eat all the food that was forbidden in the diet. This results in weight gain and soon this person is back on the same diet or looking for the next diet.
There are no easy weight loss diets. All weight loss diets need you to inculcate healthy eating and exercise habits. Dieting is no fun. It is easier to eat healthy and exercise than to deprive and starve yourself through diets.
Weight loss requires dedication and commitment. You need to put work into it. That is about as easy as weight loss gets. Give up the hunt for easy weight loss diets and return to the fundamentals. Just remember that calories consumed must be less than the calories expanded and weight will be lost.
