Exercise can effectively reduce blood pressure levels. It can also help reduce cholesterol levels. A lot of people in their 40s try to lose weight for this purpose. This is often the first prescription from doctors to reduce high blood pressure or cholesterol levels.

8.  Weight Scales

The weight scales are a favourite among people trying to lose weight. Weight measurement should be the least important of weight loss goals. This is because it cannot accurately determine what proportion of the weight loss is attributed to fat loss. A lot of the times, the weight loss could be attributed to muscle or water loss. Muscle or water loss is harmful to long-term weight loss. It affects the metabolism and jeopardizes weight loss sustainability.
