The one thing that everyone fears is getting old and eventually dying. People go to great lengths to reverse aging and extend longevity. They look for pills and therapies that can turn back the hands of time. They are willing to spend lots of money to do it. If only they knew that the fountain of youth is accessible to everyone. The fountain of youth is exercise. Exercise can reverse aging and extend longevity. Research is mounting on the positive effects of working out and how it can reverse aging and extend longevity. In an article published in the Archives of Interval Medicine, researchers from King’s College found that someone who worked out has a body that is 10 years younger than someone who had a sedentary lifestyle. Researchers also found that a sedentary lifestyle increased the risk of aging related diseases and premature death.

The researchers further informed, “Inactivity may diminish life expectancy not only by predisposing to aging-related diseases but also because it may influence the aging process itself.”

Jack Lalanne is Living Proof of the Positive Effects of Exercise

What is amazing is that Jack Lalanne said the same thing 60 years ago. In the video below, he talks about the positive effects that working out has to reverse aging and extend longevity. The wisdom of this man never ceases to amaze.

Jack Lalanne recently gave an interview at the age of 95 and he still professes to exercise 90 minutes for up to 7 times a week. The bulk of his exercise consists of strength training.

  1. Awesome! I always get a kick out of Jack Lalane! He has talking about exercising, eating well, and getting rid of sugar for like 9 decades!

    He lives just north of my home town, and as I kid I’d see him around town once in a while, and never realized he was THAT famous until later!
