All alcohol we consume will have an effect on our exercise and its no coincedence we feel lethargic when trying to run the day after with a hangover!

Really interesting article and it makes alot of sense. I'm drinking plenty of water and getting dinner ready. I feel little effect to none from the alcohol actually having a impact on my run. Maybe a little more energy than usual. Other than that all is well.

I drank some brandy (five mixed drinks) and went on a 4-mile run and feel great. If you are trying to lose weight, I would recommend to stay away from alcohol until your goals are met. If you are happy with your weight, there is nothing wrong with indulging once in a while.

Alcohol does have an impact. After, I had an apple and plenty of water. For dinner (around 7ish) I had chicken and pasta and a single glass of white wine. Is that bad? I didn't think it would be until reading this.. and now I am not so sure.

Question:
Around lunchtime I went for a 2 mile run. I noted that each time I drank alcohol, the next day I was quite unable to run an hour and I was out of breath (tired)... After reading your post, it will be no more alcohol before (or even after) exercising.

As a runner, I can tell that alcohol really affects your performance.
