(A friend discovered through iridology that my sluggish eye lens response that Betaloc was slowing down most of my processes as well as my circulatory system.) I have since changed from Betaloc to another medication, but obviously my heart rate still requires some assistance in slowing down, which is now addressed through meditation and change in line of work. However, as a holistic practitioner, I still have a busy and active lifestyle and am very active in my daily life, which means I rarely sit. However, although I do wish to lose my "muffin top" naturally and healthily, I am definitely NOT interested in watching every piece of food that goes into my mouth and it is a huge affirmative that I obviously do not eat enough. I am definitely 1, 3 and 6 of the 6 signs, and although I make an effort to eat healthy and do not like eating fatty or fried foods, I still hold onto the excess body covering. Nor am I interested or have additional time in which to go to a gym nor do I want my whole life to revolve around food as it seems to do with Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers. I do sincerely wish to get my body out of the storage mindset. Got any suggestions that I may fit into my current life? many thanks Virginia

Hi,
I have just read this article and it has been a fabulous confirmation for me as I realised that my gradual weight gain over the last 10 years has been through the slowing down of my once very active metabolism through my blood pressure (hypertensive) medication Betaloc. You really don't wanna be an apathetic person with a big tummy!)) That's why you'd like to speed up your metabolism (and do it in a healthy way!). I found out that green tea (at least 5 cups a day) and coffee can help you start your inner engine. Plus eating whole grains and dairy products on breakfast instead of dinner plays the same role. And the main secret of eating healthy to maintain metabolism is to plan your daily diet from A to Z. Just take a piece of paper and compose a healthy menu according to nutritionists advice.

I like # 3 and 6 most of all.
