President Obama finds time for exercise. What's your excuse? – Part 2

I keep on hearing about people wanting weight loss but not having time to exercise.

In Part 1 of this article, I touched on the commitment of Barack Obama to put aside most things that he held dear to enable him to carry out his duties as the President of the United States. This included novels, television, basketball games and even socializing. The one thing he stuck to was his exercise regime which he held sacred.

Obama 2“He does it every day like clockwork,” said Marty Nesbitt, one of Obama’s closest friends from Chicago. “He doesn’t think of it as something he has to do — it’s his time for himself, a chance for him to reflect. It’s his break. He feels better and more revved up after he gets in his workout.”

Then there was one statement in a Washington Post report that just summed it all. It differentiated the doers from the slackers when it came to exercise. It differentiated those who are lean/fit from those who constantly complain about their weight. If you have been making excuses about not being able to exercise, I hope this one statement hits you like a freight train!

“It’s something he takes seriously, and that’s why he’s in great shape,” said Alexi Giannoulias, a friend of Obama’s and a former professional basketball player.

Its something that he takes SERIOUSLY! If you are not able to find time to exercise, its because you just don’t take it seriously enough. Its because you don’t make exercise a high priority.Until you make your exercise time sacred and a high priority, you will always be able to fool yourself with your whimsical excuses.

I am sorry if I am coming in hard on this but these are the facts. You just cannot be busier than the President of the United States!

if you are guilty, I sincerely hope that this article raises the awareness in you that you have been fooling yourself all this time about not having time to exercise! Rise up and prioritize exercise. Reclaim your life! Its not a lack of time for not being able to exercise. Its a mismanagement of priorities.
