Attitude of Receptivity for Correct Weight Loss

|

DietIn my earlier article Why The Trinity of Understanding is Important for Correct Weight Loss, I discussed the various natural approach to understanding and how these approaches initiate the process of peak or total understanding needed for transformation.

However for the above to take effect one key element is required at the very initial stage. That is the attitude of receptivity which help us drop any potential resistance towards ideas that require transformation. Two of these resistance (Your Story & The Analogy / Level of Understanding) were discussed in my earlier article Why is Oprah Talking the Talk and Not Walking the Walk as Far as Weight Loss is Concerned.

The attitude of receptivity blossoms from total self love. Total self love means loving your body, mind, heart & soul without rejecting any part of your being and this total self love makes one whole & psychologically healthy. When one loves one self totally, one naturally want to reach one’s full potential physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually. Have you ever seen a parent who loved their children but did not want their children to reach their full potential ?

The Correct Weight Loss blog provides initial information to begin your journey towards reaching your physical full potential & to some degree your mental full potential. Latest scientific research proof that certain types of exercise helps boost new brain cell generation & increase brain performance. That should kill the dumb jock myth. Improvements in these two areas usually leads to feeling emotionally better and when you feel good you naturally want others to feel good too which to me is spiritual improvement. If you observe closely, it will become evident that only people who feel bad want others to feel bad because we can only give what we have.

Unfortunately the resistance mentioned earlier usually stems from a lack of total love and a rejection of certain aspects of one’s being. Rejection means neglect and neglect of any part of your being leads to that part to shrink and fade which is a form of slow suicide or put another way feeling not fully alive. The lack of aliveness or emptiness created by neglect is usually compensated by over indulgence in other aspects of life such as overeating, overshopping, substance abuse, sexual promiscuity etc etc. You get the point.

Check out an earlier article Hungry for Balance – Oprah’s Confession which I believe illustrates emptiness or lack of balance in ones life which can happen no matter how famous you are.

When one feels only partly alive, one hopes overindulgence will create enough excitement which provides the illusion of feeling more alive. Illusions never provide contentment, only reality (rooted in authenticity and totality) provides contentment.

Let me finish with what a Zen master told his disciples:

“If you listen to what I say with a sleeping mind but not even aware of the fact that your mind is asleep, you will laugh at what I say, (unable to comprehend the message at all)

If you listen to what I say with a sleeping mind but are trying to wake up, you will interpret what I say so that you can sleep easier (resist the transformation)

If you listen to what I say with an awakened mind, you will be enlightened by the truth of the message (the transformation begins)”

So my friends the million dollar question is, when you read the articles of the Correct Weight Loss blog, are you laughing or are you justifying your situation to resist the transformation so that you can sleep better or are you being enlightened by the truth of the message and starting to take action & responsibility for your transformation?
